Sarah Beth Nelson

Sarah Beth Nelson is an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Information Studies. She studies oral information practices. 

Sarah Beth earned her doctoral degree from the University of North Carolina School of Information and Library Science. Before that she was an elementary librarian at The Lovett School in Atlanta, Georgia. She has also worked as a children's library assistant at the Athens-Clarke County Library in Athens, Georgia. While living abroad in Norwich, UK, Sarah Beth created a small collection of American picture books and presented programs on American culture and WWII for the 2nd Air Division Memorial Library

Sarah Beth received an EdS in Learning Design and Technology with a focus on School Library Media from the University of Georgia and an MLIS from the University of Alabama School of Library and Information Studies. Previously, she received an AB in Latin and English from the University of Georgia. During the summer of 2005, Sarah Beth studied abroad in Rome, Italy with the UGA Department of Classics
